When I first got to CCNY my initial major was Mechanical Engineering, but after two semesters of struggling with all the extremely hard math subjects I said “yea this major is not for me.” I had to take courses like: Math, Chemistry, and physics. From my experience with these subjects in high school I’m more than good on breaking my head trying to pass those classes. I was taking English classes as General Education courses and would say to myself “I actually enjoy writing even though I hated it before. That’s when I quickly discovered my love for writing, even though I’m not the best at it, and being able to teach and help others in areas where they may be struggling, also being able to learn new stuff for myself because you realistically never can stop learning. That’s why I would love to be a teacher.
